Notes for Angus and Fife

The county's ancient name was Angus, then renamed Forfarshire (of which Dundee was a part until 1694), More recently, it reverted back to Angus. The Victorian census you will find Angus as Forfarshire

Also Tulliallan Parish (formally Perthshire now Fife) will still be listed under Perthshire.

Birth, Marriage and Death Registrations after 1855 are available from the General Register Office Edinburgh, where you may apply, view or search documents on line.
