William Baird - AuchmeddenBorn 30th August 1701 Auchmedden, Aberdeenshire to William Baird and Mary Gordon. He married Anne Duff, 1720 sister to the Earl of Duff. They had ten children, William died in 1775. |
Lord HaddoSon of the, 3rd Earl of Aberdeen, George married Charlotte Baird, daughter of William Baird of Newbyth. In 1791 he was killed by a fall from his horse. Charlotte then went to England to live. |
General Sir David BairdBorn in 1757 at Newbyth, to William Baird and Alicia Johnston, he lead battles in India, Egypt, and South Africa. In 1804 he received a knighthood and died in 1829 at Creiff. |
