James BairdBorn at Kirkwood farm, Lanarkshire on the 5th Dec 1802, and worked with his brother William in the iron trade. 1874 entered the General Assembly. Died 1876 leaving £20,000 to charity. |
Jane Baird - GartsherrieThe second daughter of Alexander Baird was born at Kirkwood 24th August, 1804. She married on the 6th December 1831 to Thomas Jackson of Coats by whom she had a large family. |
George Baird - StrichenGeorge Baird of Strichen who was born 1810 to Alexander Baird and Jean Moffat the founder of the Gartsherrie Baird's. He married Cecilia, daughter of Admiral Hatton. George died in 1875. |

Henry S Baird - USAHenry was one of the first pioneers of Green Bay and first lawyer. In August 27, 1857 Henry sanctioned Green Bay Police Corps as their Chief. He married Elizabeth Fisher. |
Elizabeth T. Baird - USAWas born April 24 1810 to Mrs. Fisher in what is now Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, she married Henry S. Baird and settled in Green Bay 1824, and died there 1890. |
John Baird - CumnockBorn 1812 Lugar St Cumnock, to David Baird and Jean Vallance, who keep the Tupp Inn. He was a draughts man and owned a drapery shop, now the Baird Institue. John died 1888. |

David Baird - StichillBorn at High Cross 18th November 1816 to Alexander Baird. In 1853 he purchased Stichell in the Borders, but died soon after at Essex, unmarried. Stichill then passed to his brother George of Strichen. |
